Bath have signed New Zealand fly-half Stephen Donald

He is a fly-half that does what he is told and doesn't attack the line too often with any great threat; just what Bath need.... Actually IMO he is the same sort of player as Butch James

What...? I don't think you've got the right guy here... Donald's probably one of the most attacking first fives you'll find.
 
Not a terrible signing. He's always looked fairly comfortable at club level. Don't know if Bath would want him in a pressure game in the H-Cup but he should be pretty good for the rest of the season. Good news for All Blacks fans certainly, as he's not really up to test level. I wonder how much Bath paid for him?

Donad's game is very much a hit-the-line-hard and you'll eventually break it. Either that or do a little chip kick over the top, and 1/3 you'll regain. His problem is with vision and running a smooth backline but let's face it, there are only a handful of fly halfs in England who can at the moment. His kicking is average, but not terrible, and his goal kicking is often pretty good, unless the kicks matter.
