Quick question,

Are there any Law variations in the Aviva Premiership? Or do they follow the IRB Laws?

Cheers! :)

Same laws universally now, apart from the European games have a 23 man matchday squad (so there's an extra prop thus all-but eliminating uncontested scrums).

Yes its but not quite as straighforward as that.

Firstly the team can name 23 players, but there must be at least six STE (suitably trained and experienced) front row players, and they must have a replacement for each position in the front row, so that in the event of an injury to each of the front row players, there is a replacement available

Additionally there is the "man-off rule" (a.k.a. the "Wasps" rule). If scrums go uncontested as a result of the last STE FR player having to leave the field, either through injury or a red.yellow card, that player cannot be replaced and the team plays on with only 14 players.
