Just reading on twitter that a physio handed George Kruis an ear piece during a break in play - apparently this is a BIG no no. Be interesting to see what comes of it.

Edit: After seeing a clip of Healy talking about in on BT Sport it seems it nowhere near as big a deal as the Glaws journo twitter accounts were making out

I misread that as the physio handing George Kruis a piece of his ear. Now that would have been a story.

Jeez... now there's a big uncomfortable question... who do you trust more, a Glaws journo or Austin Healy? The way to Hell is paved with good intentions and believing either...

Kvesic was ok, couple of good carries, no steals iirc but overall he was outplayed by Fraser, who got 3 or so turnovers.

Absolutely gutted about this result. I thought Glos did enough to win tbh. Some incredibly dodgy refereeing decisions. The worst was obviously calling a Glos player to be in touch when they weren't, which indirectly led to Sarries only try. But also the ref going to the pocket presumably for a yellow card, seeing it was Farrell, and deciding not to give the card. Also the fact Sarries weren't straight in the lineout for all but maybe two throws and never once picked up. The worst being that a Sarries player took the ball at his chest, and a Glos player penalised for contact in the air; how else are Glos meant to compete?! Sarries killing the ball on the line and not getting a yellow. Glos not being given a try that should have stood. Vunipola clearing out a ruck on his knees and not being spotted, leading to a Sarries penalty?!

On the other hand, add Laidlaw, Thrush, Marshall and Moriarty to that XV and I'm growing in confidence about this season. I thought Glos might have another finish outside the top 6, but I'm not so sure any more.

Even as a massive Kvesic fan, Kvesic was middling and Fraser was one of the best players on the pitch for this game.

God I wish that Fraser wasn't made of breadsticks. I can't really see him ever get England caps because you can't rely on him playing 15 games a year.

Kvesic was OK (showed the link play that he does better than pretty much any other English flanker), Fraser played well - made 2 really good turnovers on the floor, and made 14 tackles.

You would hope he performs like that though, considering how fresh he should be.
If he can do that every game of the season I'd be impressed, even more so if he can be effective in attack and defence at the same time.

To be fair, both players are in their element in defence and Fraser had a hell of a lot more defensive work to do.

I was impressed with both of them to be honest, think Kvesic managed at least 1 turnover and Fraser 2 I think. Fraser very prominant in defence.

Has Kvesic bulked up since last season?

So with Lancaster we had 3 6s at some points now we get a new coach and go 3 7s!!! I love the idea!

Heres a novel thought: why dont we try a 6 at 6, a 7 at 7 and yes an 8 at 8. Think a few other teams already do that.

I can't see that ever working? Just not sure a balanced, traditionally proven back row is what England need right n... Hang on.
