You're completely right that's how it is but I think it's ****** up to be honest. I disagree with your drug lord v drug user comparison as well as the whole point is that there's no way you should get a suspended sentence if you've got child porn on your phone. That, to me, is worlds apart from some crack head smoking a pipe.

I agree but most drug users won't receive any kind of sentence or be prosecuted. I was using as analogy rather than saying punishment should sign with it.

My point is when you accept Edwards is at low end scale and you see 5 years at the high end (I think it's was). He was always going to get considerably less.

Couple from HK got banned by Cathay Pacific. Don't even think they were drunk.

My sister got into an altercation with a woman who lent her seat back and the woman complained. To shut up my sister she got upgraded to business class. Lol. Turned out the woman's seat was broken.

Worst one I had was this Jewish man with his kipper cap on, who got his Kosher meal served earlier than the rest of us and then just when he'd finished his meal decided to lean his seat all the way back whilst I was eating. Couldn't bloody believe the nerve of the guy. Completely ignored my request to put his seat back up until the Stewardess to tell him to put it back up. No apology or anything.

Dunno, but Surron bikes are legal in the UK - I guess they can be illegal, in the same way that any other motorbike that isn't registered, taxed etc is illegal - but that's to do with the legality of that specific bike, not "E-motorbikes or Surron bikes. Not legal."
It seemed very much like you were saying "EAPR e-bikes = legal. e-motorbikes = illegal" with the distinction being pedals vs unpedalled, speed limits etc.

Complaining about the BBC not making the distinction, when the distinction wouldn't have been the important bit. The legality would be the important bit; not whether it's an e-bike or e-motorbike.

I had a flight from Paris to Warsaw two days ago and there was a mother with two children behind us and...it was unsupportable. Her children were shouting loud during the whole flight and were kicking our chairs with their legs. I was incredibly infuriated but thankfully the flight lasted only two hours.
Thankfully didn't have a lot of issues during longer flights in the past. I remember a couple of funny cases though. We had a flight from Bali to Singapore once, and the small airport there was overcrowded, with a mess of queues, we chosed our gate (as we thought), the guy who was checking tickets had barely looked at ours,so we were moving to the airplane in the "corridor" when in the middle we understood that it was a flight to Australia...I don't remember to which Australian city it was,or how we understood it,but we have returned quickly and were shocked that we could go to Australia instead of Singapore still surprised how inattentively they check tickets sometimes..

You live in a very sheltered world if you think these surron bikes are being registered, and legally ridden on pubic roads and pavements. Not the ones in my area and certainly not the ones in the bbc article. Countless numbers of them with no number plate on the back, no insurance, wearing balaclavas with no helmet in 25 degree heat and doing wheelies. These are the ones I am objecting to. And police do FA and then blame lack of resources.

I make a distinction between EAPC, which are legal and don't need tax, insurance and have the motor limited to 15.5mph. BBC just don't make a clear distinction with their language, and between these surron bikes or souped up e-bikes (massive battery packs and motors well in excess of 250ws), which are akin to motorbikes. Yes, of course the legality of them but also the way they are being ridden. If they are illegal, they are more likely to be ridden dangerously.

We have speed pedelecs which are legal and can go up to 28mph, but require registration, number plate on back, insurance, plus motorbike helmet and on public roads only. I have never seen one of those when I am out and about or even heard of anyone getting one here. What's the point when you can get an electric moped?

Came across a self-entitled lying Karen today whilst out cycling. I had emerged from a bridleway and wanted to cross over the dropped kerb onto the road, but she had parked her SUV right across blocking the way. She was getting her 3/4 year old out of the car to take her school, which was about 50 yards away. I told her that she really shouldn't be parked across the dropped kerb, and that there was plenty of space behind her car for her to park. She proceeds to lie and say there was a car there before and that her child is disabled.

She then proceeds to get her child out of the car and walk with her to school. Funny that I thought she was disabled and by that could not walk. I said I understood but please not to do so next time, to which she replied No, and kept referring to the disability of her child. I then shout out so all the other parents dropping off their children can hear that there are other disabled people who want to cross here and that it's not all about her.

Have a right mind to upload it to Youtube, if I can blur the kid's face.
