It's all Welsh point for London Irish right now. Two tries for scrum half Jack Moates, both converted by Steven Shingler, who also has an early penalty to his name.
7-17 to LI, as the final quarter starts.

Newport doing all right for themselves vs Bayonne - just gone 6 - 13 up, with Bayonne down to 14 men (think it was a prop from scrum infringements, I went to get a drink when they were about to pack down and came back to Prydie taking a penalty and them with a card).

Non. Arrière for something like not releasing in the 22 after Evans made another break.

Aha, fair enough!
6 - 16 at halftime - not too shabby!

I am pleased so far. Scrum doing very well and we are finding the gaps/actually getting the ball to our backs.
Still 40 minutes to go. So as the lad who can be heard in the background of the commentary says: "Come on Dragons... dragons..."

Blimey, Dragons are terrible at defending wide - everytime Bayonne sling it out they make tons of ground.
Thought they were in then, but for some good covering.

Forgot about this game. Tuned in to see Phillips scoring the probable winning try.

****ing ****.

We made plenty of opportunities in the first half but didn't convert them. Maybe a few became three points, but we really need to finish and score tries. Backrow worked hard and Jonathan Evans had another lively performance. Our scrum was rather dominant, but lineout needs work. Can we get some of the Blues young second rows?

I turned it off at half time as was bored watching the second strings playing on both sides and was not surprised that the Bayonne public turned their back on it......even most of the season ticket holders for who it was free!!

Seeing the result, maybe I was a bit premature..........................
