If your team/country don't win this years RWC, who would be your second choice?

As for myself? I'd have kittens if SA (bOKS) won, not because they won it fair and square but because we have history. There's nothing better than beating a Bok but that's not from arrogance but purely from respect.

If the AB's don't retain the holy grail then I'd go for Australia.

Ireland/Wales/France/Argentina - A team who hasn't won it before. Ireland being the more likely and realistic of the 3.

Then

Australia then the Springboks, both of which I respect as teams.

England is definitely the team I would least like to win.

Probably Ireland. If we can be fanciful then a win to Argentina, Canada or the USA would have a big impact.

Personally I'd prefer Argentina if NZ, OZ, IRE or France don't win it.

On a different tangent, South America ie Argentina should host the next RWC to spread the game and not IRE, France or Japan.

You mean SA in 2023 (Please, Lord! That'd be so awesome as my lad would be 10, nearly the same age I was in 1995- the memories!!). 2015 and 2019 are both NH and 2019 will be a new market so I can see 2023 coming down South (though probably for the last time) similar to 'sentimental' 2011 NZ. After that I see USA/Canada, possibly France again and Argentina will get the vote from SA at least when they bid and I suspect Aus and NZ might follow suit.

Agree with the majority here - would love to see Ireland win if England cannot.
