A Political Thread pt. 2

Texts currently have a major measels outbreak. Despite being declared eradicated in the US in 2000. A combination of vaccination scepticism with 95% take up needed for herd immunity, years of poor funding and health cuts.
Who are you to judge?
These people ignored the experts and did their own research instead (listened to a man who eats roadkill and literally has brain worms)

More Texan kids with measles than trans athletes competing in USA
(NB when I tried to fact check, there were about 550 cases, versus "<10 who publicly identify as trans", difficult to know those who keep it private, I guess. Also seen "<100 in the female category" as NCAA's estimate)

Okay, y'all complain about misinformation and then spread it.

The measles outbreak stems from some of recent migrants. In South America, particularly in Colombia and Venezuela, they do not inoculate for measles.

It's not vaccine skeptics, or anti-vax Christian nationalists, or whatever else is being regurgitated online.

16+ million migrants came here in 3 years. This is part of the 2nd order effects.

Still don't believe me, I'm assuming you think people in Ultra-right wing Chicago also hate vaccines: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/73/wr/mm7319a1.htm

Again, another piece of evidence that this board is projecting a view of America from 2021/2022. It doesn't exist. You are not living in the real-world.

So a link from the CIA director giving his view and an article referencing German spy agency saying they are 80/90% sure it was accidentally leaked from a lab in Wuhan (spell check changes Wuhan to Wigan which I find amusing)

Long and short of it is we don't know. Would you say that is fair?
Of course we don't know, my pointbisnt that we do, my point is that the lab leak, or 'secret Chinese labs' as you put it, is not a conspiracy theory in the slightest.

And that's the danger.

Yes @Which Tyler, that's exactly what I said. Reading comprehension must be like everything else in the UK, collapsing at a rapid rate.
That's not a source, it's your assertion.
It's also nothing to do with what you quoted from me.
You accused me of misinformation. Please quote the information I gave, and a refutation - ideally, one that's more reliable than the CDC (which granted, is ever less reliable in the couple of months).

If it helps, you can use the search function here for the term "vaccine" and the user @Which Tyler ...

How's that reading comprehension coming along?

How about first hand account volunteering in the migrant shelters in Chicago and speaking directly to the migrants and the main public health steward of Chicago?

That a good enough source? When I was in school, primary sourced accounts carried more weight than others. Is that still true or has UK Bluesky accounts taken the mantle?

The Texas case has no confirmed source according to the Texas DSHS. But local Mexican hospitals reported measles spiked during the migrant crisis. So again, I'm using deductive reason. Just like I did here. And if you don't trust the CDC, then there is no information that will satisfy you.

And if the CDC and first hand accounts are not good enough, then there is nothing I can do to help you. If you want to live in 2021, so be it.

Sorry, I didn't pay for that opinion so it's not valid.
It's no an opinion. It's primary sourced interviews backed by data. And according to the people I spoke to, even if they got the 1st dose of MMR, they rarely got the 2nd. So the vaccination rates are even lower than the WHO reports. If you'd like, I can have you interview some people I've met and some of the doctors in the shelters. How's your Spanish?

That has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard especially commenting from an American. Literacy rate is 99% in the UK versus 79% US.
