It is false and the fact you put laughing emotes to anything that contradicts you shows your whole "I'm being rational and seeing nuance" is just bullshit. You are being contrarian for the sake of it.
What Trump states he would or wouldn't do it meaningless at this point, the guy lies constantly and shamelessly. Trump may have said he wasn't going to do it but the reality is he WAS doing it. Actions matter more than words. The withdrawal plan was one that was formed AND APPROVED during the Trump administration.. There was a deadline for full withdrawal from Afghanistan already in place when Biden took over THAT TRUMP HAD APPROVED.
I don't deny they exist, I'm saying talking about someone being tee total is completely irrelevant and pales in comparison. You follow that up with a lie about Afghanistan and then praise operation warp speed whilst ignoring that his own advisors from the first term stated his constant denial and refusal to act in the early days is what led to the USA having the worst death rate from COVID in the developed world. The fact he attempted to act much later doesn't offset his refusal to act earlier which cost far more lives than warp speed saved. It's like saying after someone was involved in a high speed crash that a positive is they did try to brake at the last minute, which reduced the impact. That's not a positive in the context of that we're already driving recklessly and caused a crash.
But your not being honest, the withdrawal plan was delayed under Trump, who then struck a deal and set a date of May 21.
Now if you argued that he set that deal with the consideration he would lose in 2020 and it wouldn't be his problem then I could agree with you (TRUMP CRITICISM). He more than likely knew the withdrawal would have to be rushed or delayed. Chris Miller makes this claim a number of times.
However, and I know where your opinion comes from, the Whitehouse releasing a study in which they claimed their hands were tied by Donald Trump's deal making, that was suddenly pushed worldwide as Afghanistan being a Trump plan and not Bidens fault lol. This is like the police investigating the Rodney King incident and blaming whoopi Goldberg hahaha
So let's take into account what the 2 chief generals had to say about it, after they retired and both had no more skin in the game.
They blamed Obama for his role in the expansionism, they blamed Trump's deal with the Taliban for demoralising Afghan forces, and they blamed Bidens official execution as rushed, and dithering until the final seconds to evacuate or give them the time to remove civilians and equipment.
I would probably agree with this, and Milleys comments about Trump and his bust up on the evacuation also play to this. Milley apparently warned Biden keep 2500 troops on the ground for a short period.
So your stance is - Trump fault.
My stance is - 20 years of **** show, Obama and Trump are complicit, Biden ultimately pulled the trigger of the **** up (MORE TRUMP CRITICISM).
do you see how we vary, ones rational, ones not
