I had a little sympathy the first time Trump got elected and people who could claim they were duped. I have zero sympathy now, Trump IS representative of America now and America is basically full of a bunch of moronic, hateful, selfish fuckwits. We cannot simply hope to wait it out for 4 years, that huge segment of the populace are still there and will still vote for the next MAGA arsehole to replace Trump.

We have to recognise that the USA as a whole is no longer a trusted ally nor are it's people even fans of the basic aspects of democracy any more.

I kind of feel Frankie Boyle summed up these types of people. You see the choices they make, the horrific, hurtful, spiteful choices and you just have to wonder what in their life hurt them so much, they feel justified in their actions.

Out of curiosity how many Americans have either of you spoken with, especially those who voted for Trump? Actually, spoken with, not insulted and called names? It is interesting as it always is how the left (for a sweeping generality here) cry and **** and moan about tolerance but it is only one way. As soon as presented with views and beliefs that don't match their own, it tends to devolve into name calling without intelligent conversation.

Question the thousands of illegal aliens in America, you're xenophobic. Question the absurdity of parents saying they don't want their daughters competing or changing with boys, you're transphobic and the list goes on.

It's amusing, I'm a centralist and my opinions come both from the right and the left. I actually thought I was slightly right of centre, but then the world has gone mad recently, and I'm questioning myself.

Because posts like the one above are far and away from my opinions. I feel like that if you believe in proper facts, you are a so called leftie.

On the trans thing, I will listen and be respectful, but I also know what is true and what isn't and won't pretend something that isn't true. A male can't be a female because he has a surgery or plays mad scientist with his hormones. No more than I can claim I am black because I "feel" black, wear certain clothes and style my hair a certain way. I am not a fan of Piers Morgan but he said something similar on a panel discussion and I thought he was very correct with that.

That is a medical statistic outlier that in no way changes what is true. That is like someone saying that a human has two arms, two legs and then pointing to the one in a thousand? ten thousand? hundred thousand? born without two legs and saying "Are they a human? They only have one leg"

And yet there it is. You see the funny thing about trying to legally define things is there isn't much scope for these "outliers"

So, if such outliers are not female, what are they? You've confidently stated they are not women by your definition. By law, are they allowed to use womens facilities? Can they compete as women? You also assume this combination is the only outlier? If you now make an exception for this then what grounds do you have for drawing the line elsewhere? You lot are the ones that want to draw a hard line on this so you better be damn sure you can account for the ones that don't fit into your hard lines.

Then you are wrong, a naturally occuring condition albeit being a tiny percentage is still a natural condition that no amount of laws and bile can change.

The biggest share of illegal aliens coming into the US are coming from South American and Asian nations. This is not racist these are what the numbers are. Come here legally, no problem. Commit a crime by entering illegally, you need to go.

I think the other stuff around trans people has a nuanced conversation but we have to get on the same page that they exist before either can happen.
