Republicans in Georgia are now trying to change the law to retrospectively remove the RICO crimes Trump is being charged under... This is what fascism looks like. When dear leader breaks the law, change the law. In addition it would make it the law that the person could then not be re-charged under other laws.

I had a class where we had to watch Conspiracy (2001) and how it described the fascist rule by law and how it related to our then government. I'd really suggest the film to anyone who has a bit of time.

Again, more signs of fascism from the Republicans. It seems that a Republican who failed to win his election paid someone to try to shoot up the homes of Democrat officials.

The real test of just how corrupt they are. Are they willing to rule that a president can legally murder people as long as he has enough senators supporting him to avoid conviction...

No but it looks like he'll drag this out till the election. If he wins he can't be prosecuted as a sitting president. Not sure if he can pardon himself, if he can all hope of prosecution is lost as well.

The rule that a sitting president can't be prosecuted doesn't actually exist anywhere in law, it's merely a convention. However yes, if he wins he will put a yes man in the DoJ so it becomes irrelevant.
