Yeh it was actually interesting to hear a Trump supporter's view point that wasn't outright crazy or racist. And understanding/remembering the Trump base is an coalition of the evangelical and populist right; the latter of which vote trump because of the economic, immigration reasons, rather than religious.

The danger of course if these support yet don't choose to vote or engage in the political process is they will further alienate themselves and live in their echo chamber of right wing/populism.

I think that's what people forget. The president can be impeached for anything really. Hell he could be impeached for farting in office if somehow both houses hated him enough. The trial isn't a criminal one and many have admitted if it was a criminal trial, it's unlikely Trump would be charged.
