Well yes, the substance of what they were saying was right. Just the means to which they went about to promote their cause didn't win them widespread support.

Disrupting people going to work and sticking themselves to roads is not going win many fans and loses the point of their protest IMO.

Gave right wing media plenty to portray them as environmental terrorists.

question, is it at least building code for new builds to have certain levels of house insulation ? any schemes for people to insulate their houses?

There is a Bulgarian military analyst on YouTube who was talking about this back in July. He said not only are the barrels coming to the end of life but the only factory in Russia that can re-barrel them is still on peace time production and can only do so many a month which isn't many.

The Russians obviously still think they can win the war on the cheap.

Well I am sure new builds will need to have certain levels of insulation. The issue we have in the UK is we have a lot of old housing stock to upgrade the insulation to really stop heat escape.

I can tell you about my own house where we have insulated the loft, double glazed the windows, but there even though we got new front door and back bifold patio there is still a gaps where we can feel the draught. But walls? no insulation between the cavities.

Governments have had tax incentive and grants in the past. But no long term scheme to insulate everyone's properties. We are also talking about Commercial buildings and offices. That's what the guardian article is getting at.

And yes why insulate Britain have turned to their tactics to highlight their cause.

I thought you guys knew about him in Europe, figured he sells his stuff there too. The others have something to do with Trump and/or his supporters.
