A Political Thread pt. 2

Not cringy, just very hypocritical. He really should brush up on Christ's teachings before he next votes.

Haha no. It's been altered

I don't find an expression of faith cringy, let people do what they want as long as it's not offensive.

Being an ultra conservative, Brexit supporting, bigoted, unionist and using Catholicism to justify some of your political ideologies is though. If he wasn't a rich, privately educated snob and had to spend any time with the majority first and second generation Italian, Polish and Irish that make up the majority of Catholic communities in your country you wouldn't have the same views.

This doesn't read as just an expression of faith imo, it reads as virtue signalling, the sort of guy who yells from the rooftops about what a great Christian they are when they clearly aren't.

Tucker Carlson is promoting testicular tanning. o_O That explains so much.

Censure motion allowed parliament will have a vote on Thursday to decide if Johnson lied or not to the house. He'll survive that if he doesn't resign between now then (fat chance) but every MP supporting him will be tarnished. So will force a few hands.

Yeah at this stage getting Conservative MPs to commit one way or another is important. Then as things continue to deteriorate as they likely are they'll have to answer to it and it will be powerful come election time.

Apparently Johnson is planning to apologise and will suggest that we all 'move on' from partygate. Yeah right. A censure motion vote this week could quickly become out of date if he's handed a few more FPNs.

Not quite a censure motion but whether to refer him to parliamentary standards committee. Same effect and it means further votes if he gets more FPNs.

As noted this mainly is about getting MPs like mine who won't say anything to nail their colours to a mast. Eventually they'll wake up and remove the fucker.
