Look, whether Trump is a moron or not really isn't important. It ultimately comes down to how you define moron which is subjective really so pretty pointless. Id maintain, when looking at the wider context that this guy is POTUS, that he is a moron. My evidence would be listen to him speak every time he opens his mouth. For example, I don't think he actually knows what a tariff is if you asked him. I think he probably has a reading age of a 10 year old and his comprehension skills are pretty basic too. But as I say, this isn't important.

TDS is a term created, and used, by the cultists to shoot down any valid criticism of Trump. He is a uniquely bad individual (by presidential terms) who warrants the extensive and thorough criticism he sometimes, but nowhere near enough, receives. He literally engaged in a fake elector plot and instigated an insurrection to overturn an election. He calls for political opponents and people in the media who criticise him to be prosecuted. He trashes long standing global partnerships and commits acts of war against its neighbours all the while cosying up to our enemies. He's a compulsive liar and an authoritarian. That's the important stuff, not whether he meets anyone's criteria for moron or not.

As Sam Harris said in a video I posted on this thread, the goal of these lies he tells isn't to get people to believe the falsehoods as they're so transparent. It's to get people, kind of like you actually, to believe in nothing. Claim epistemological bankruptcy and keep your head down and don't question things seriously coz, you know, who knows what's going on, right? WelI I say **** that **** and call out and fight against the unhinged stiff we're seeing as much as possible.

Your right it's not about whether he's a moron, it's about you guys not acting like rational people. This is not the response of a rational person, it's an anti Trump algorithm response.

TDS was created to mock anti trumpets, the same way terms like 'cultist' was designed to mock MAGA fans. 2 SIDES OF THE SAME COIN, all of you argue the exact same way, from the exact same standpoint, and the sad part is you are both wrong, and you've both been manipulated into picking a team.

Your stance is he's a moron, mine is he can't be, your response shouldn't be, ok well define moron because by my standards he is. This is a reframe, the term moron is simple, it means stupid, or in psych terms someone with borderline or mild intellectual disability.

I'm willing to call it low IQ say 70 points. Since neither of us has ever met him, got his IQ scores or has inside knowledge, the list of achievements above dictates he cannot be nearly intellectually disabled, unless you think Forrest Gump was a documentary, stupid people don't become billionaire leaders of the free world! This is yours hatred refusing to let you acknowledge this.

I wouldn't mind the aggression if I was staunchly defending his every move, was a fan of his, or even promoted him, but I'm not, I'm merely saying that he isn't both a low IQ evil genius nazi, who wants to both start war with, and cosy up to China and Russia, while devastating the constitution, become a dictator and advocate for too many rights like guns and freedom of speech. All these claims have been made on this thread over the last month, and it cannot be correct lol

I never said I understand America. How is it a population gloats because it's president is trying to crash it's economy is beyond my understanding. How people in the richest country in the world can play the victim is also beyond my understanding. I don't get it and to be honest I think you are grabbing at things to justify your vote. This has nothing to do with left and right. What is happening now isn't what any other republican president had done since the 2nd world war. You voted in a president who under the guise of fentanyl has used emergency powers to undermine your constitution but also crash your (and the worlds) economy. Listening to people you agree with on substack or posting articles about the democrats is not going to change that. The democrats are not crashing your economy, Sam Harris isn't undermining your legal system, James O'Brien isn't threatening to annex Canada and Greenland, the Guardian isn't failing to get a cease fire in Israel and Ukraine that's all on Trump. The person you want as your leader.

Again, you are starting to develop a reductionist mindset. You lost your curiosity and now have descended into binary thinking. Trump bad. America dumb. Economy Good, now Bad.

And I disagree with 75% of those writers I posted on a regular basis. Two of them I rarely agree with, but they make me think. None of the sensationalist articles posted on here make me think.

To be fair, if I'm being charitable and I assume you've had a stroke recently or something I can maybe see how you've interpreted it like that if you ignore everything else you know about me. I do have 2 siblings and 3 nephews as well as other family living across America so I perhaps care a bit more than your average Brit but what America does has always had huge ramifications across the rest of the world.

Again, boring. Trump is incredibly intelligent. Bill Clinton said the #1 thing you want in politics is to be underestimated. The entire political apparatus -- and many people including myself — thought he was the village idiot. Boy was I wrong and have been proven wrong over and over and over against the last decade.

My mindset is this: before 2nd April my SSIP pension had a positive investment to value ratio, now it's got a negative one and I bet yours has too. That's not binary thinking/Trump bad/America dump that's the ******* facts and the reason that's happened is because of Trump. That's it. There is no sensationalism in that. Trump is currently empowering China and very likely moving your country (and mine) into a completely self inflicted recession. If you don't want to accept that then fine, but it's happening anyway.
