A great big Munster thread

Gaston it's good to know not all of ye are like that. I still have a pint of black stuff ready for when you get here.

Ah Ha, the beloved Black Stuff i will be there one day to sample and cherish although we now have it in our club Brasserie which opened this season ( 9 €'s a pint) only waited since the 2007 WC., but the M and M's day could be as soon as next season, not chocolate but Munster v Montpellier............

Jesus that's steep. Hopefully next year and we will have a good pint and a good steak

Munster are set to appoint a Director of Rugby over the head of Anthony Foley who'll remain in place.

Is Anthony Foley's position tenable if this is true? He's already had Andy Farrell imposed upon him. if the new Director of Rugby has coaching experience, Foley would rightly feel like his role is being reduced.

It's discussed but not as solid yet as was stated. Foley is a very good field coach but has issues on the other side so maybe a DoR will be opposite Snoop and be beneficial. In fairness Farrell was requested by us and not imposed on Foley. But we only have Andy 2 days a week and wanted him 4.

Read that Laurie Fisher is interested in the touted DOR job.

Add Blackadder to the list! 42 just reported he's a target although I saw that as wishful thinking on boards so hopefully they're not reporting lazily. Be a goooood appointment

His mate Nucifora will sort him out nicely! Avoid at all costs...

If you actually knew much about Fisher you'd know he's a world class operator. Was superb here at Munster. Was more an issue of his methods were opposite end of McGahans. Also he's a superb rugby brain but is very good in the admin side also so he'd be well able for DoR role if not as head coach.

Regards Blackadder groundhog I can nearly guarantee he isn't coming.

Axel and Blackadder discussing Axel's latest gameplan:

Rassie Erasmus being reported by the Indo as being a front runner for the DOR. Don't know huge amount about him. Similar role as to what he's doing now in the Bok setup and is definitely looking to get out of SA.

I think he's big into travelling in Europe for 6/12 months and getting totally f__king blocked.

[Somewhat surprised they'd look at a p|ssed student for DOR role though...]

So if there is no supa-doupa cup next year, will there be repercussions for the coaches? (i.e. "Axle falls off the munster bandwagon".)

Probably will still be "soupa doupa cup". Foley's just signed a contra t so I doubt he'll be off

Foley was give a contract to sign? Is there no cop on down there? The man is tragic...

The race for 6th is interesting too, I can see all 3 sides winning one and losing one. Although if Munster are sound they'll beat the Scarlets, qualify for Europe and get Ulster into the playoffs after them bottling a great chance against the Champions Elect. That all sounds too nice for Munster's and Ulster's seasons thus far though.
