In my experience cats are proper aloof, arrogant little feckers...their owners seem to run round like sycophantic servants desperate to make their cats like them...all they get in return is hairs everywhere, the occasional clawing and if their pet is in the right mood the privelige of stroking it for hours.

Dogs just seem to love human company, it's such a shame that they are incompatible with modern, dual-income life.
