So the last day and everyone has something to play for apart from the Bloody Opeless (but no surprise there) and Brive. …
Any one of the top five (RCT,MHR,ASM, RM92 and Castres) can end up with home semi-finals depending upon results but Castres (away to Bayonne) seem unlikely as they would need at least a five point win and for MHR (home to Racing) to lose without a losing bonus and probably ASM and Racing not to at least draw…
The sixth and final place in Les Barrages is between ST, SF and UBB but the latter (home to the Bloody Opeless) would need a five pointer and the other two to lose without a bonus point. With the bonus point win for UBB probable, and ST home to Grenoble and SF away to RCT, I reckon this could be the really interesting one with them finishing 6th ST, 7th UBB and 8th SF.
The seventh place is important for the final European qualification place for 2014/15, and as a consolation for missing out on Les Barrages, UBB would then have a double header against Wasps to gain qualification.
Meanwhile, Grenoble (away to ST), AB (home to Castres) and Oyonnax (away to Brive) need USAP (away to ASM) to lose to secure their own safety or to win to tie with them when USAP would go down on the peculiar basis of matches played between the tied teams rather than the obvious one of points difference overall where Bayonne would fall….I fear for USAP under this method of sorting out ties as it would be the shock of many a season if they managed a win at Clermont to break their home record. In addition, cannot see Bayonne being worse off than a losing bonus point or Oyonnax winning which will make no difference but you can bet they will be trying in case miracles do happen!!

Barrages……RCT, MHR, ASM, CO, RM92 and ST
7th…UBB
Losers and winners….SF, CAB FCG, AB, Oyonnax
Relegated…..UBB and some other team!!
