I know most people pass it, but it is not uncommon to kick the ball back to the kicker for the drop out. Not common to drop kick it, but i guess he just forgot. I know it's a mistake that cost his team 7 points, but i can understand him. What really impressed me was the Chocobares was careful enough to pay attention to all of that and exploit it. I mean, half our players didnt undestand what had happened.
About the game, i'm kinda fuming. I certainly was when the game ended. Not because we lost, but because of how we lost. Sacha's first try is unacceptable. We kicked the ball to them, our defense should know what to expect. Where was our full back?
Their last try from the 1H is just stupid from us. So is their first try from the 2H. We were playing 15vs14 at that point. So you have 2 tries at the most critical point in the game. After that we just lost the plot.
The amount of missed tackles, Garcia's box kicking, back's defense... all **** poor.
I love what Contepomi has done in terms of attack, line speed and scrum. But it is getting ******* boring to see us improve an aspect of our game without completely capitulating in others (not just talking about Felipe here. There is a clear trend here). Our line is not good enough, nor is our defense. I can understand we being unable to stop South Africa's forwards in the last 5 meters. Or a driving maul. Happens. That is a gargantuan task. But precisely because of that you have to minimize the amount of unforced/silly errors on other areas.
