[2025 Six Nations] Wales vs Ireland - 22/02/25

Amazing that people think Wales did very well, against a rotated Ireland side, missing their first choice front row, locks, back row, centres and back 3 lol

Wales played too wide too early, Ireland didn't react very well, but ultimately cruised to victory...
Mate Wales haven't been a T1 worthy team for a while, they were playing a top 4 team who are currently in a league of their own, (be it with some changes, but still a hell of a lot of experience there), if a ball or two sticks it's a different game, just take it as a wonderful improvement and hopefully building some foundations, as I said earlier I don't think Wales have the players or depth to be world beaters even with the best coaching in the world but they have shown this game they can be better, only time will tell, just be proud of the effort.

So Evans didn't concede the field position for their try, or throw a really poor pass to deny us a try?!?!

These things matter, that's a 10 point turnaround, that lost the game
Brilliant kick from Predegast, stop trying to lay blame where there wasn't.

On the pass, who knows. It wasn't a shocker of a pass by any means.

It's just obvious you'rr trying to find excuses to prove your pre-game predictions correct. It's just coming across as a bit pathetic now!

What TF are you talking about, we left a home game with nothing hahaha

There was one blown opportunity, that Jarrod Evans threw away, but Wales are bottom of the table with -59 hahahah

It was a reaction, but Gibson parks interview perfectly sums us up, literally smirking about having a poor first half after resting 6 players lol
You play who is in front of you and it's complete fact that Wales improved today, that was still a strong Ireland team. Got to see the bigger picture buddy, the amount of improvement today was significant. Must be hard being in your head with the doom and gloom all the time DH!

Huge improvement from Wales. They need to build on that. Unfortunately once Ireland got back up to 15 they just took control.

Aki made the difference in the end for me, definitely energised those around him. Wales lost a bit of control later on to boot, nerves and confidence would have definitely played a role in that. Deserved a LBP at least but it's whatever, progress is clear for all to see. I'm genuinely surprised by how fast it's happened.

Congratulations Ireland, dug deep under pressure. Prendergast is the real deal.

Negativity around Wales' performance is a bit baffling. I do think Wales were really decent. Far closer game than we had against England on balance. At the very worst there's a spine of players you can build forward with.

A top 4 team...

Who's replacement coach decided to rotate the team and rest a number of players lol

Let's be real!

Except I would live nothing more than being proved wrong, as I mentioned about my wrong predictions previously...

But the kick wasn't brilliant, it was OK, and Evans was out of position.

And if you check the thread I berated Thomas and Murray earlier on for throwing an end over end pass instead of a spin. That pass 100% ruined the try, and Evans proved he isn't up to it.

I'll put this game through the analysis software tomorrow

I Give up mate, just sulk in your corner like a miserable troll, I sympathise with anyone subjected to you on a daily bases, your wife must really struggle being married to the perfect man.

Wtf are you talking about?!

There was a red card, Ireland rested a number of players, and Wales had a new coach and a new energy..

My wife met me when I coached her at international level...

And is happy I focus on this forum and not her hahahaha

Monumental improvement from Wales,

Think they said Ireland average 4.1 tries per 6N game - go back two weeks and ask Wales fans if they think it'd be <10pts different and two tries apiece
It rare we are rattled that we take kicks at goal. I thought Welsh looked very good. Ellis Mee was electric. All Welsh back 3 were good and TF is like a Welsh Thir. He was immense today

What did I say that's wrong? Why on earth wouldn't they be positive after a pumping from France and a loss to Italy balanced against a game where they put it up to us for 70 minutes? Ireland 'rested' (in the sense the player we played is a clear downgrade) Hugo Keenan and probably Bealham.

I don't think it's arrogant to say it would be a historical flop if we let the Welsh get anything from this. Team could look slightly different this week, but we should be a couple of levels above where this Welsh team are, even with home advantage and the potential of a 'no Gats boun

Not only should Gatland and Howley retire immediately after that game of rugby but @dirty harry should immediately apologise for defending Gatland these past months. You were either gaslit by Gatland that we were worse than Georgia because we're just **** or you were just wrong, and kind of blind.
Because after Gatland left our results changed?!?!

Losing at home against a rotated Ireland missing 6 first teamers is an absolute victory lol.

Let's be real, Wales were better against a weekend team, with a red card and fell short while never threatening to win lol.

The reaction to a half decent performance is laughable! Wales still lost, still never got a bonus point, and still sit bottom of the table with -59

What are we talking about? Except for the first 3 scrum penalties, the game went as expected!
