[2025 Six Nations] Wales vs England - 15/3/25

I did get this fact from the BBC website so it is probably entirely wrong...

I've already been burnt twice today with getting facts from them.
Yeah it's right. He's the first player. He's one who has really grown to international rugby this 6n

Whilst he wasn't amazing today, he's certainly now raised the question of him moving to 13 especially with Roebuck looking very good.

13 defensively is so difficult. Against better opposition I would be a bit concerned.

I agree. But thats up to Saints of they are willing to move him there. You only improve by playing in that position week in week out.

And there's Beard on the horizon aswell who's a talent.

This wins the forum today hahaha excellent work.

Well done England. I was at the game, very clinical in attack at times but probably broke down a weak welsh defence a bit too easily.

What impressed me most was the English defence, incredibly organised, it was like watching an American football defensive team who had an answer to every attack. It took the wind out of Wales and I think that's the end of Ben Thomas and Anscombe 10-12 forever at this point.

Weirdly I am not too disappointed about the record score fair play to Eng of that as they took advantage of a very poor welsh team so it's not really a big deal. But I am disappointed a lot of those welsh boys looked beat and done with the game at half time. Cant do that at home, not in Wales. All those loses against the 00's 'Dallagio' era team hurt but there was fight at least.

Born to be MOTM

I'd make an argument for Roebuck as MOTM, consider the odd pressurised defensive situations he found himself in and excelled where other have been found wanting and relentless in regaining possession from box kicks, very strong and powerful in wider expenses all in his first start it was very impressive and he needs to be included going forward.

One of the Sale lads, so TRF_Olyy will be delighted regardless.

But seriously you can make arguments for a number of wingers but him and freeman aerially are In a league of their own, if your going to kick the leather off everything just pick the players that suit that, add to that you lose far less that I originally thought you mind ball in hand with Roebuck, he's quicker than I though, unsure until today if I'd definitively have him over sleighthome in certain games, he's far and away the better choice to me now with the coping under pressure aerial ability (which was known) and strength in the carry as well as just having a more solid defensive game especially in a team and defence his not really gelled with before. My only slight reservation is it Wales and would like to see how he copes against the likes of Ire, Sco & France so we can really compare.

Feyi-Waboso has that x-factor so he should definitely be included if he is fit.

He should but he's injured and I have a horrible feeling the way he is going he could well be like Manu and never reach the heights he promises due to injury, hope I'm wrong.

It's not about this ***le it's about the next and the one after that and the world cup. We want to build from this not decide we are good enough and need not improve. We rode our luck today to an historic victory. Let's make sure it isn't a fluke.
I agree on your first two sentences, but 'rod our luck'? Really? We were dominant throughout and even if Murray was a little unfortunate to have a try chalked off, I genuinely don't think it would have made much difference.

It's just the shoulder so far isn't it?
