[2025 Six Nations] Italy vs Wales - 08/02/25

Was that pen kickable? V low risk and could take away the LBP? Why just kick it out?

Gatland needs to resign. Rob Howley needs to resign and Michael Chieka brought in (Or Shaun Edwards as Jesus Chirst himself regardless of cost to appease the Welsh)

Would you give up £650k a year, knowing no rugby team will be taking you on and you'll be speaking at club dinners for the next couple of years?

Of course...

The only thing that I'm wrong about is the record score bet, which was 8 points hahahahaha

I thought that bet was a gimme, 8+ lol.

It's time to get shot of Gatland, his selection of Thomas has cost him his job, the idea forwards should pop pass in their own half was an embarrassment, the idea popping off the top of the lineout was embarrassing...

The good news is, a new coach will 100% get the better of them, catching and driving, smarter ball playing and more focused breakdown strategy will improve easily

That last 10 mins though, was it Wales got better or Italy got worse. Personally I think the latter.

It does smack of **** coaching. Players playing OOP, don't know their roles, no fluidity and **** poor on field decision making. What was Garland thinking bringing Howler back. He's truly awful. Even ex Lions players have come out and said they ignored his coaching and decided amongst themselves how to formulate the attack.

Jamie Roberts is fuming to be fair. Good to see a bit of fire. The apathy is what I can't take. You can be rubbish and not just say and accept "it's just where Wales are" or "it is what it is". I don't believe that any and even if you do nothing will change with learned helplessness.

Is Garbisi okay?

Why would you not take the 3 to deny Wales a LBP?

Fully deserved win though, congratulations.
Italy think Italy came about Wales get out of the game.
After the last couple of minutes, they were just happy to take the win.

That sort of thinking is for teams accustomed to be naffprrow victors in competitions where bonus points matter

Can't argue with this, except one thing. Who the **** would pay Howley to give a speech?!?!?!

Andrew Coombs and Ken Owens the same on S4C, especially Coombs.

Against France, when the forward gave away 10kg+ per forward, and we're rightly dominated, I could understand the struggles...

But when your deciding not to catch and drive in the rain, when you can't kick, and your pack is throwing pop passes 30m out from your own try line....

It's the coaching decisions that have got me this week, over playing in bad conditions in your own half, bad breakdown strategy etc
