There doesn't seem to be an overly positive vibe from England fans going into this game, and a fair amount of criticism of SB, but to be fair the odds are always stacked against England when we play away to Ireland. We've only beaten them 3 times at the Aviva since it opened in 2011, so this is always a game that takes some winning. Looking at the team selected I am not sure a better one could have been selected, especially given the block on lads playing abroad not being eligible (a conversation for another time). It will take something special for England to turn Ireland over tomorrow, but it is far from impossible. Most are calling it as being close, and if it is close come the end of the game, even if England lose, I think that's still showing progress. Of course they would then have to turn France over at HQ the following week otherwise serious questions would need to be asked. We cannot remain the "almost had it" NH team. Looking forward to the game. Really hoping its a dry, cardless contest, with the best both teams have to offer on display.
