difference is whether you intended to kick it or tried to just because you lost the ball.

no foul play is the correct call. The issue is that allowing guys on the ground to crawl instead of forcing them to get and then allowing attack to tackle the tackler is going to inevitably create these situations.

No it isnt, the law states a knock on is only auctioned when it touches another player or the ground.

If you knock it on onto your boot its officially a kick
