2023-2024 transfers

Yeah, I remember when people were going on about Jack Willis being the young kid snapping at Tom's heels....when he's two years older

Mad how dominant they were at such a young age - if they were getting their first caps now you wouldn't bat an eye at their ages

Underhill is only 27. I forget how young he was when he was at the Ospreys. Such a talent, shame he's had his injury problems but great that he's overcome them.

Guessing he's out for the rest of the season so going to his new club to rehab/have an extended off season?

Leicester Tigers Senior Academy 2023/2024 Farewells
Jacob Cusick, Tiger #2361
Oliver Crane, Tiger #2417
Sam Edwards, Tiger #2363
Morgan Meredith, Tiger #2370
Simon Koroiyadi, Tiger #2371

Sam Edwards to Bristol
Cusick and Koroyardi to Ealing
Apparently

Regan Grace properly signs at Bath
No news on length of contract, or when he's available (might be this weekend, might be September). Thought to be a 1 year contract, presumably with a view to extending on improved terms if injury free and successful at Union.

Yeah I'd be surprised if it's longer than a year. Hopefully he can get through relatively unscathed and then extend his contract.

Only heard him mentioned in passing and possibly a rare cameo or two on TV whilst watching a game.

What's the verdict?
Decent young player, should prob be 3rd choice with us.
Not quick like Randall, more traditional style

Impressed at Cambridge on loan this season
Very worse you got a good solid player with a decent upside

Feel he's a big loss for Bristol, he's a great squad player who can be top notch on his day.
I think the timing is perfect in some ways, he has come up from championship, won silverware and finished top of the league. POC is a very good player but where does he fit in the current side as a centre or in back 3?

Centres at the moment; Williams, BJVR, Vakatawa, Ravouvou ... Plus Jenkins broke through impressively last season and Bates is very close in style to POC as hybrid 13/wing.

Back 3 at the moment; Malins, Naulago, Ibitoye, Heward, Lane... plus Bailey and hearing very good things about Rowson in senior academy.

I'd be very happy for POC to stay but he will likely get more game time and a starting slot at Connacht, plus hooking up with some familiar faces. He deserves to play more regular first team rugby and I'm in no doubt his form will improve due to it. Hope POC goes well there.

I am constantly surprised that Underhill is only 27 and Curry 25

The way the media and some people push for younger players you would think they are mid 30's
Both of them could have another 2 RWC's in them

Opposite here for Underhill. Thought he was about 25. Surprised he is already 27. Or maybe I just thought he was the same age Curry.

Three young, English but also very under the radar low key signings. One tight head and 2 back row. Will be interested to see how they all fit in as we've got two players with great potential in Pollock and Logan in our academy in the back row already.

Re-signing rather than a transfer, but Johann Van Graan signs on at Bath until the end of 2029/30!

I have to say, I was sceptical of his signing; but so far, he's proven much better than I expected, and has gathered a good coaching crew around him, and appears to actually listen to them, and his medical staff.
