2022 World Cup - Qatar

Did a Gary Linekar will never play for England ever again.

Unfortunately those are the moments that make or break an England career.

Do what the Netherlands did last night.

Come on Rashford.

Edit: Shame!

Southgate has returned England to where they were before: a QF team.

Edit: Kane is gonna get trashed in the papers tomorrow.

Slabhead was picked for his heading ability. Missed a golden chance at one end and then failed to get in front of Giroud for France's winner. Plenty of blame can be dished out.

Nevermind Gareth. You still are the best manager of the best England football team since 1966
Will we be saying Borthwick (assuming he is the next England coach) is the best manager since Woodward next year?

Once again an English team bottles it. There is something in the national psyche I think. I can't think of another nation that can so consistently get to the knockout stages of multiple sports and then **** the bed. As a nation are we just so bloody mentally fragile that we can't hack it?

We win once in a generation and then harp on about it and don't rinse and repeat. It takes a special team to do that. Football, rugby, cricket, we just seem to not be able to take it to that next level consistently.
