2022 World Cup - Qatar

That rule has been there for ages. Have you complained about it before or just now that you dont like a particular ruling?

And regarding Japan vs Germany, i just went and checked the xGs. I dont see how germany underestimated Japan. They were unlucky.

if people were convicted on alegations alone...
There are 4 stars up there with their national crest. They've reached more finals than any other team. They've reached more semi finals than any other team.
Are we really questioning Germany's footie cv?

We've faced them more than any other team on WCs. We've lost 2 finals against them. Trust me when i tell you: don't go there.
Sure, they've had two bad tourneys. Check the one before. They won, in south america, facing 2 south am teams in SF and F. Beat the hosts and favorites 7-1.
Seriously.
Put it this way. They are out. Unlucky or not. And no I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

0/3 for me this weekend. Put the mortgage on England.

Class for Morocco though. Finale francaise s'il vous plais

Was banking on that going to ET and pens to eke out the time until the Eng v France game.

Anyway, sky sports reporting same team for England that faced Senegal. Southgate wants to go toe-toe with France which is a good sign.

Ronaldo continues to show he has absolutely zero class. Showed it with Man U, showed in with Portugal and showed it at the end. Yes you may be upset you lost, but he's such a bad loser to just walk off crying. Only cares about himself.

My Egyptian friend (or American of Egyptian descent to be more accurate) is going on about a 3 day/10,000 word essay in the group chat about how the media shouldn't be calling Morocco an African nation and that they are only the first Arab nation to make it to the semi-final.

It's both. What's the big deal? Does he not want to give Africa as a continent credit as well?

You may wish to point out to your friend that Morocco, being part of Africa, competes in the African nations cup and that the Arab world isn't a continent.

I know there's a split between North Africa and the rest but Morocco is literally on the continent of Africa.

If England won do they become the first non-Euro/South American team to win it? No way.

My advice to your friend is less essay writing and more riding birds. Life's too short.
Never ever drink and TRF

I find the whole Arab distinguation quite problematic. I know an Iranian who refuses to be called Arabic and insists on Persian. I don't know how close middle Eastern and North African genealogy is but if not closely related surely the distinguations in the previous sentence is preferable?

I know a couple of Iranians who refer to themselves as Persian rather than Iranian. I would guess it's their way of distancing themselves from the regime.

I'm willing to put money on Olivier Giroud going to his barber/hairdresser at least once a week.
