[2022 Six Nations] England vs Wales (26/02/22)

Yeah it's a funny thing rivalries, it's not too uncommon for one side to be more invested than the other. For example with Football, England fans seem Germany as a top rival but the Germans themselves often think the Dutch as bigger rivals.
I went to a game v Germany at the old Wembley. About 2/3rds of the crowd spent most of the game vigorously pointing at our German visitors and reminding them that we'd won in 1918 and 1945 as well as 1966. Pretty embarrassing really and you'd like to think most of the world has now moved on.

On current selections so far, I'd say maybe Josh Adams and literall any scrum half, but unsure i'd make a huge argument for the rest.. if you're including likely teams this weekend, maybe Faletau at 8 too
The starting Welsh front row seem to be in decent form at the moment. Got a few penalties out of Scotland and IMO where unlucky not to get any out of Ireland in the first game. I thought Porter had taken it down a few times but the ref played on. Hopefully something it's Wales can use and it has been a weakness in recent times.

I'm looking forward to the Wales Online head to head rankings this year.

I mean a back 3 of L Williams, LRZ and Adam's is looking way better than Nowell, Malins and Steward but not sure where else they'd be much of a discussion.

At this moment I'd probably still want Biggar running the show at international level tbh. Smith could very well prove me wrong and steer England through 80mins on Saturday, and he will likely do it at international level sooner rather than later, but I don't see him coming out on top of the two with all else equal right now.

At prem level you'd take Smith but this is a whole different ball game.

I forgot SH as well, would literally take italys SH rather than Youngs.

Had a conversation recently whilst there are all players we'd take from other teams to improve our sides is there a player other than DuPont who would be a straight No. 1 pick for any side in the world right now?

As good as the Saffas are, I think Furlong still gets into any nation's 3 shirt.

Furlong?!

Beirne for me as well. I think he's the best lock/6 Ireland have and he's the best in the NH. I rate him higher than any of the South Africans as well.

For the past five years it feels like England forgets they have a game when they play against wales. It's pretty inexcusable actually.

Would the Saffer's legitimately break up either of their two front rows to bring him into their side? They might but they two incredibly effective units without him.

I can't speak to what they would do but they absolutely should if they could.

I predict they will set it up so Wales add up to 1 above England.
To be fair, the most recent ones they've done they've not done that but yeah, I won't be surprised. My gut says they'll make it that England dominate the pack and a bit closer
In the backs but England will win the overall score by 4 or 5.

It's not surprising they think it's a training session when the opposition are their schoolmates/age grade international team mates etc

I know this is your schtick but I can only think of Rowlands and Francis for us. Who else in our squad am I forgetting?
