[2020 Six Nations] England vs Ireland (23/02/20)

the origin story is that a group of school kids were singing it when Chris Oti, who I don't believe went to their school, scored three tries at twickenham. Chris oti was the first black English player since 1908.

Ah so there's the difference. The account I've heard is that people from his school sang it in support, Swing Low being their school song. That he was black is supposedly irrelevant.

Murray definitely is the worse of the two, his form is like this at Pro14, Sexton just gets like this when the intensity gets too much.

Only other option is Carbery rn though and he's injured.
Carty? Like how he plays, personally. Also Madigan is looking to play for Ireland again before it's too late.

Good try, couple of good carries from my boy POM. Maybe I'm not so mad after all.

Carty is very sloppy and his form took a dive the last few months, and Mads is what third choice at Bris?

There's Carbery and then Harry Byrne, Jack Crowley and potentially Ciaran Frawley on the way, just a bit of a dip right now.

Carty has been stinking the joint out for Connacht. Billy Burns is firmly established up north. Carbery is injured and the alternatives at Munster aren't international class.

There are promising young 10s like Harry Byrne (Ross's younger and probably more talented brother), Frawley and Ben Healy but they're all a few years away from playing in green.

Madigan has put himself in the shop window a few times and none of the provinces were really interested. Third choice at Bristol isn't a compelling CV. All four provinces have established starters and younger options they'd rather invest in. Paddy Jackson would probably be starting if he was a better person.

Sexton is the best we've got right now.

Aki frustrated that he's not allowed to pull the head off a man on the ground

Good to see us using our bench today, Porter and Cooney on is a step in the right direction.
