Fourth choice - Alby Matthewson is second choice this season, ahead of Shanahan.

How is Alby playing these days? Rated him but guess he's getting on a bit now? Should still be able to do a decent job at 9 I'd imagine though.

Not that it means that much but he would have been starting for Ireland last season if eligible. Best 9 playing in the country. Haven't seen him this season now.

According to Wikipedia he's 34. He's been solid and unfussy every time I've seen him play. He's there as cover for Cooney, and Cooney hasn't been called up for Ireland so he doesn't get to play from the start all that often.
