Yes. When they get enough possession, Scotland are among the most 'fun' teams to watch, and are certainly much-improved compared to five years ago. However, compared to the top five teams in the world, Scotland lack (a) strength-in-depth, (b) strong forwards, (c) a good defence and (d) a reasonable away record. As for the match itself, not unlike the Wales-SA match it was good in patches but sloppy (by both teams) at other times.

Teams looking to beat Scotland simply have to strangle the forwards and starve the backs of ball - this needs to be addressed by the coaches. Agree bigger and stronger forwards are needed to compete with tier one nations. The defence did quite well yesterday and I think we have to remember that the ball was like a bar of soap due to the conditions which played a huge part in tactics and how the game panned out.
