[2017 Super Rugby] Round 6: Lions vs. Sharks (01/04/2017)

This game will show how far the Sharks have come since last season and if we are ***le contenders this year or just also runs , massive match ups all around the field and a chance for a lot of players to push for a bok spot , i am backing the sharks to takes this by 3

I m having a bad week already, the last thing i need is a shark win

I feel robbed by this ref. He disallowed a try because of an infringement that had nothing to do with play although admittedly an infringement. Sharks should have been up 20-3 by now. Ref keeps blowing the whistle if one of the sharks players just so much as touch the lions players. On many occasions now have the lions players been touched on the shoulder (never brought down, they actually kept running) and then ref penalises us for dangerous tackle?

Sharks are still looking better but it's a game of two halves and the lions will have the advantage in the final minutes as they usually finnish strong and they are more acclimatized to altitude than the sea level sharks.

That was a great game. Even with the loss I'm still happy. It hurts to come so close and lose but the sharks showed today that they have potential to be challengers this year. Great game by future springbok Curwin Bosch and same for Kobus van Wyk . Well done to the lions for securing their home game

i believe that of the 46 men in the game 16 of them were 23 or younger with a decent amount of 24 and 25 year olds

probably a good sign for SA rugby

Curwin Bosch is really good. He's only 19 as well. The Springboks should have a very good team shortly.

The depth they have for FH/FB is outstanding. It was also amazing how he handled the pressure.

Game of the weekend for me. I hope this is just a preview of things to come. I hope all the SA teams take note of the level they should be at like the Lions and Sharks are...

I think both teams have a good chance at winning the competition this year. The Lions in particular, the Sharks an outside chance. The Lions should be able to secure a home final, since the NZ sides will be taking each other out and the Sharks and Lions don't have to play NZ opposition, so should end up with the highest points tally. The Lions would be extremely difficult to beat in SA.

& SARU will get their wish granted.

Well, the Sharks have already done their tour down unda... So they have more home matches coming up than the Lions.

The Sharks will surely be disappointed with their loss to the Reds in hindsight. I think the Sharks are a superior team to them. It's a bit of a shame the Sharks and Lions don't meet NZ opposition during the round robin, because they would be some great matches. Isn't it silly?

Only problem is the Sharks take a mental dip in matches against lower rated teams and it costs us BP everytime
