[2017 Six Nations] - England

Austrian Winter, and what are you saying, I can't tell I'm afraid?

i was calling your comment a hot take... thought it a little hyperbolic

if his teammates are really affected by him being honest with the media, they should probably reconsidering whether or not they want to be a professional athlete if they can't do their job cause their feelings are hurt

i'd have to hear a lot more about him either actively chastising players during training or in the locker room to think he is actually a team cancer

Can you not see how ridiculous it is for a guy new to a team to talk about the lack of talent or leadership in the squad when he's contributed SFA to it as it is? It clearly has had an effect on his teammates as he's apparently becoming a pariah in the squad and they're considering getting rid of him. Can't even begin to tell you how quickly Munster fans would turn against this guy, and rightly so imo. It's one thing a senior player not being happy with the standards in the squad. If he doesn't have the motivation to play in a struggling team then he shouldn't have been so naive and realized where he was going.
And above all I dislike Te'o because he's walked into a very good English side, which he's very lucky to do, and he's complaining about playing for Wuss? C'mon you're lucky to be an international at all.

Te'o is, and this is not a criticism of the man, clearly in the sport for the higher wages. When he decided to go to Worcester he was a fan favourite here and we don't half worship successful imports in Leinster, (I'll give anyone who finds an adult Leinster who doesn't have one of Isa, Felipe or Rocky in their top three favourite Leinster players a 5er) Instead he chose the more lucrative deal in England giving him a chance at bigger international appearance fees and sponsorship. It hasn't backfired yet but if his game goes to **** playing in a rubbish team because he's a player who thrives while surrounded by good players it will, therefore getting out of Wuss or them improving is key to him continuing to bring in a nice wedge hence these ****ty comments.

Would any other Premiership side need him? I seem to remember the eggchasers saying he'd struggle to find a starting spot elsewhere.

Leicester - until they signed Mermoz. Everyone else has their crash centre berth filled I think.

Could definitely see him doing well at Leicester as a replacement for Manu.
Could see a move to Sarries as well.
**** it, I'd love him at Sale. Tuitupou is likely to retire this year and Leota is no spring chicken.
Most likely is abroad, though, if he doesn't crack on with England (though he seems to be in the first choice 23 atm).

Guess if Mermoz likely only here till end of season he could fill in the role.

But they is already a falling out over player attitude so not sure that would help.

i just don't think it's ridiculous... he's halfway through the season and he had certain expectations for the what he thought would happen and he isn't happy about it

i'd rather have a guy who shows how frustrated he is with things than a guy who sulks it

I don't know a lot about Te'o but I have to say that there are other legitimate reasons to move from a club. It could have been a mixture of wanting to play in a better league, no barriers to International Selection, higher Wages offered, and not wanting to live in that boggy swamp you call a country :p. At Leinster and in Ireland in general it seems to be totally normal to just stick at a club your whole career. Honestly I think you guys may be too used to players coming and never leaving. It might be none of the reasons I said above, but I'm always reluctant to automatically say that a player moving must have been down to money.

If England offered the same amount of money for internationals as Samoa did Te'o wouldn't be here. Almost guaranteed.

Mermoz is only being signed as injury cover until the end of the season.

At Quins, our 12 shirt is theoretically occupied by Jamie Roberts, but given how anonymous he's been, I certainly wouldn't say that berth is filled.

If Te'o fancies being in London, I'd take him at Quins in a heartbeat. A centre partnership of Te'o and Marchant could be great.

Te'o has been very good for Worcester when fit/available to be fair. He was also good for Leinster and generally held down a starting berth. I think he'd walk into most Premiership midfields tbh. From what I can make out he's done well at all his clubs both in League and union. He was a massive fan favourite at the Rabbitos for eg.

Look, he shouldn't have given that interview but I don't think it's fair to rip him to shreds over it. If he leaves Worcester off the back of it then another Premiership club is going to be the winner because they'll be getting a quality player.

I don't see how that's a black mark against him. Samoa don't pay their internationals much at all and the union isn't in a great place. While I don't want rugby players to be driven by money, I don't agree with denying that it's a legitimate consideration altogether, particularly when the two polls on offer are so starkly different. Again, there are other reasons you might choose England. A chance to work with a top coach, other great players, and in with a shout of winning something. And judging by his comments of "I didn't expect to be in a relegation battle", maybe team success is indeed very important to him.

What about Gloucester for Te'o?
We already have Scott, Twelvetrees, Trinder, Symons, Atkinson and there's a rumour Mills is on the way back, with Marshall and Purdy who can cover centre too. Not sure how many centres a team can need!
