[2016 Super Rugby] Sunwolves vs. Jaguares (Round 9) 23/04/2016

We need the "bull" Ayerza, "chelo" Bosch, even the old but still efficient "corcho" Lobbe. But who the team need the most is indubitably Juan Imhoff, and that is a matter of money I think.

The Jags need to look forward, not back. All those players are great but haven't long left and probably wouldn't be able to sustain the Super Rugby schedule. I sympathise with the new travel schedule but that doesn't account for inexcusable performances. A strong head coach would not have needed Lobbe et al to have won at least three of the first 7 games. Funnily enough, if you said to me before the season that the Jags would even win that many I would have said that would be a dissapointing haul. I hope Perez faces the Argentinian rugby people and does not try suggest this is anything other than an embarrassment that they will look to put right over the coming games. It's a matter of pride now and I would not be wholly surprised to see the Kings win in BA actually. They beat the Sunwolves after all.

@Dark Horse: nice read "http://www.theroar.com.au/2016/04/16/pumas-jaguares-not-one/". Although im still we dont have depth. In some positions like props, scrumhalf, wings.

Sun wolf game was a good game to play offloads, move the ball and hurt a team that has bad defense...we did opposite. We score tries only sun wolfs allows. Against a decent team it was a defeat by 20 again.

Not sure I agree with some of the comments. We didn't lose today because we lack good players. Sure, that would help but that's not the bottleneck here. We've got all the resources we need to give any team a run for their money.

I've said it before and i agree with marianodan and Stormer: we planned this all wrong. When i saw the lineup vs the blues, i thought the competition was over for us. It was just plain stupid.
I have to admit, today's defeat takes us to another level in terms of incompetence. What worries me the most is this

I don't see that instinct or resolve aymore- they look beat and accept defeat.
I see it too.

What irritates me the most is that we had an incredible opportunity to make a stand in SR and we threw it away. Fans, not just at home but all over the place were excited and supportive. We threw all that away.
I wasn't expecting them to win the competition, but at the very least, to fight for a spot in the Finals till the last round. The idea I had, and i'm pretty sure i wasn't the only one, was that we didn't join SR just to "learn and see how it goes", but to compete. Boy was i wrong.

People are staying up till 4:30 am just to watch their game, ffs. I woke up on a saturday at 6:45 am (diff time zone) just to watch this bloody game on a small laptop.
I can understand being outplayed, i can accept being outpaced. I cannot accept nor tolerate being this bloody stupid.

I'm too angry, gonna take a break.
