[2016 Super Rugby] Jaguares vs. Kings (Round 10) 30/04/2016

Where are you from Dark Horse (I don´t see any flag in your Avatar...strange...) You said you´re not argentinian but from your first post to the last is only about the Jaguares and with a retorical a little bit antiargentina. Almost enjoing this bad performance of the Jags.

Ha ha! I would have said it's the opposite - there is no way I'm enjoying seeing them underperform, they are the team I follow in Super Rugby! I'm just overwhelmingly disappointed with their approach, not just in recent games but also in those games that they could and should have won: Chiefs, Stormers etc.

I'm half Welsh, half Irish, splitting my time between both though mostly in Dublin. Both countries have immigrant populations in Argentina so I feel a certain connection through my ancestors :)

Seems a good formation. Luckily this time around we manage to beat someone.

What a try by Hernandez!!!!

Also what a difference makes Cordero.

Well, it's as if someone removed the soap from the locker rooms and replaced it with glue.

Three tries in 18 minutes.... no, wait, another one.. that's FOUR tries in 18 minutes.

The Kings are getting a towelling... I think its going to be a long day at the office for them!

6 tries in the first half. the kings looking tired.

I have a little of fear. Jaguares look so confident...

If they play with this intensity every match they would win a lot more that´s for sure. They have to be careful on the penalty side though.

Sanchez-Hernandez- Moroni gives the team a lot of solid defense and attack.

Edit: bertranou cant make a decent pass. It´s amazing how a professional player cant pass.

Was it our merit of the Kings lack of pressure that allowed us to play like that?

It's good to see that Jaguares can clearly win over the Kings.
However, the Kings help us a lot!

Also, Jaguares defence was really poor. Against any other team in the tournament, It would cost us a couple more tries at least.

A bit of both. I agree against other teams you dont make all those 11 tries but at least 4/5 of them were just good rugby from us. If we can defend a little better we can win a few matches.

ps: burn bertranu and amorosino at a stake.

I'm missing the accurate analysis of Dark Horse...

Ha ha! I am here.....I watched the game. Firstly it is good to see the Jags get another win and they played the game that I know they want to play very well. It's important to consider the standard of the opposition in any judgement though and to be fair to the Jags, they didn't seem to be taking too much credit for the win. They knew this was long overdue.

However.....I mean it in the best possible way when I say they are a "bully" team. Not in the violent sense but in the way that they display all the tricks and magic against a team that is largely powerless to do anything about it. Against a real team like the Chiefs or Crusaders, such play is either not tried by the Jags or not allowed by the opposition. That is more mental than phyical: the Jags will play with swagger and confidence against the Kings at home because they know that every man they have is more talented. They should take a similar attitude to playing the Chiefs et al but deep down, they don't believe they are better than them and so the win never comes.

The game plan still needs to be more realistic and the team needs more belief in its own high ability. It that happens, they'll be dangerous but the one sure thing is that they will not automatically be one of the strongest teams in this competition right from the start. It will take time. Ironically, when they wear blue and white next August I would see wins against South Africa and Australia at home. Well, they would if they'd actually play Australia in Argentina and not London but that's another story.....
