[2015 TRC] South Africa v New Zealand in Johannesburg (25/07/2015)

You say that because you are a Landers supporter. Sorry mate, SBW sells jerseys, not Fekitoa.

I know you're a big fan of buying jerseys, but unless Hansen gets commission on SBW jerseys I don't know what your point is.

It's news to me that Rugby was a "shirt buying" sport as well. I know soccer has a lot of that. But in Rugby the no names on the back on shirts takes away the personal side of it.

CCC as in Canterbury NZ Co sold out to Adidas. Keep up with the play.

How many times do I have to school you?

Personal side not team side. You're the worst kind of thick, who thinks they're intelligent. Another thread reduced to rubbish because you spend your life on my case.

You might be a bit to young to remember this Kiwi but remember when Steinlager were sponsors? Now it's AIG

I didn't know there was a player for the All Blacks called Steinlager!! Was he named after a beer??

And whose initials is AIG?

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to hijack your thread by the name of beer commercialism compared to Castle Lager :D

AIG is an insurance Co.

Back in the day we (NZ) played the Boks in the amateurish era with farmers/Boers etc etc with Richard Lowe v Mark Andrews etc etc, now we have internet warriors talking ****e.

Back to rugby: I'm still thinking that HM is playing his cards close to his chest with this RWC. The next game at Ellis Park might be an indicator or red herring for both our teams regardless who wins.

Lol, whoosh!!

Clearly you don't understand what we are trying to say.

I do know that Bok fans can get "selfies" on the back of their jerseys though.

To be honest, I've got no idea what you're trying to say in the kindest way.I'm in the dark here, help me out?

Schalk Burger has been named as interim captain for this match due to the unavailability of JDV and Victor Matfield.

So basically Schalk will start. The team will be announced tomorrow afternoon.

Wouldn't he have anyway? Thought he had a good game at 8

Not necesarily.

Ruan Pienaar was the Vice-Captain last week, and Warren Whiteley played against the World XV at 8.

So if Marcell and Victor didn't get injured, chances are that Schalk could've been benched or rested this game to test other things out. Like playing Mohoje or Kolisi or Brussouw at flank and Whiteley at 8.

The only reason why I think Pienaar was vice-captain was that Victor was the leader for the forwards and Ruan for the backs.

But this still leaves the question on where Schalk will play on Saturday.

Against Argentina that makes sense but against the All Blacks?

Though obviously youre far more in tune with the Boks squad etc than I am

Well Whiteley had one of the best success rates for tackles made, and he's a great link between the backs and forwards. Maybe not as physical as other SA loose forwards but he'll add to the running game.

To be fair the ABs aren't bringing Carter or SBW, whether they would actually crack the starting 15 is up for debate but the point is, every team is using this time to experiment a little during the RC. The RC just doesn't matter in WC years, it's not even a fair competition with only 3 games and randomly determined home and away games.

I really do hate to say it, because I don't like the RC being used for trials, but, it really is about giving players opportunities, managing players playing time etc, for all of the RC sides in RWC year.

I'd expect C.Smith to start this week, because he's had a couple of weeks off now, and maybe Fekitoa start, with Nonu off the bench, for the same reasons. Maybe NMS could play some part too, if he's recovered from injury.

Some of those Hurricanes forwards should probably get a go too, and Messam should probably start at 6, to five them all a run.

Maybe they could start Vito at 8, with Read on the bench?
