Because that Stormers this year is trash, FALSE. I don't know the last Stormers games was boring. I think the worst game of the round 11 is 'Cheetahs vs Stormers' IMO.

Strong looking Canes side - Ben Franks adds a lot for them up front (though Goodes did a reasonable job last weekend). The key for the Canes is obviously their backline, with Barrett, Leiua, Smith, and Savea all in top form (and Taylor and Jane showing good signs too).

I feel the Canes should start this match as clear favourites. I feel the forward packs are largely comparable. The Canes have probably the more dynamic loose-forward trio (and have Savea on the bench too), but the Reds trio seems to work very well as a unit. The 9/10 battle will be the highlight of the game for me. Genia and Cooper are more experienced, but Perenara and Barrett are two of the most talented young players in world rugby (and Barrett is in fantastic form). The Canes have a clear edge in the midfield and out-wide too. I'm a fan of the physical style of F-Sautia, but I feel he may find he isn't quite physical enough to stop Julian Savea (who is almost unstoppable at times).

If the Canes win they will move into the top 6. I'm picking them to win by about 10.

Canes have the edge (energy & determination) to them lately, not sure what changed but they are definitely my dark horse for make th eplay-offs this year.

Close game so far. The Canes have looked more dangerous with ball in hand, but are making too many mistakes. Andre Taylor looks on fire, and it's good to see Jane back scoring tries. Julian Savea hasn't been as dangerous as usual and is making a lot of errors....

Savea's worst game for weeks, as you said Jane and Taylor looking great. 2nd half Canes to get into top gear.

That was a high shot on Robinson, but then Hurricanes get the penalty from the ruck after. This is really really sh*t refereeing.

He didn't explain it correctly.

If you want to take a quick throw you have to be completely out when you take the throw. This causes issues as you can catch the ball whilst half in the field, but are considered to be out because you have a foot out, but you then have to completely step out before you perform the quick throw.

Game over. The Canes will be happy to get the 5 points. They dominated the match but weren't near clinical enough - I was worried that the Reds would come back and sneak a victory near the end.

Great game by the Canes, took a while to gel but got there.

Jane showed he still has a great rugby mind, he is just so skilled and reads things well, seems to be hitting some form. Savea had one of his quietest games of the year however the team still went well and ground out a victory with some good grit.

Jack Lam had another great game, good work rate and some good metres run.

Bonus point takes them to the top of the NZ conference and 3rd overall. They away to the Waratahs next week so that will be a big game.
