This is the game of the week, Spain pretty much must win if they want to have a chance of catching Russia for the repechage round's spot, since Georgia and Romania are very well ahead of the rest of the pack now.

The Belgium result shouldn't be surprising at all. They were resting/missing a number of their best players and it was a match against Georgia in Tbilisi. Not a bad idea to focus on the other matches, especially next week's hugely important match against Spain.

Battles look to be about seeding now, and at the bottom the relegation battle could be pretty intense, big contest between Spain and Belgium next week that could goa long way to determining who goes down to the lower division next year.

Definitely something to play for for everyone. Romania and Georgia for the ***le, Russia trying to squeak into 2nd place and get the automatic RWC spot and Portugal, Spain and Belgium all trying to stave off relegation.

Watching Georgia vs. Belgium archive right now, scoreline might actually be flattering to Belgium, missed conversions kept it from looking even uglier. Conditions do not look like they were ideal either. Georgia really into form now after a good November, continuing that into this winter.

A little digging shows that one of Belgium's starters (Tchangué) and one of their bench guys (Lecloux) were in their U19 team as recently as October. I still think they have maybe the brightest future in the ENC other than Georgia and Romania and it would be disappointing for them to go down, although they seem the favorite to do so.
