Tonga must be trying to give everyone a run on this tour. Sona Taumalolo and Halani Aulika would be our best props on this tour in my opinion. Would Love to have seen a line up like this one.Ma'ama Vaipulu getting a crack with the chiefs after some fine form in the ITM CUP.

15. David Halaifonua

13. Siale Piutau
12. Sione Piukala
11. Fetu'u Vainikolo

Really Hope Tevita Koloamatangi, Ben Tameifuna, Nasi Manu, and George Moala etc commit next year by the start of the Pacific Nations Cup.

Seems like a lot of props from the initial squad naming are now unavailable - that's gotta hurt!

That looks like a good Tongan team on paper. Fosita and takulua have been very good in the itm cup

Most of our players that that are eligible for Tonga that are contracted to NZRU and play for their respective Super 15 franchises, sign a loyalty agreement towards the union this is why its hard for players to pledge themselves to Tonga. This was the case with Tameifuna, and Ma'ama Vaipulu if he wasn't given a contract by the Chiefs for sure he would have been on this tour. Usually if you pledge yourself to a different nation while your a ITM player you likely to get overlooked by Super 15 franchises. One player who would of benefited from a Tongan call up is lock Liaki Moli who has been released by Blues. It's a big risk playing for Island players to make such a move if they have nothing lined-up for them in Europe or elsewhere.

Players that have pulled out due to personal reasons, injury and contract issues:
Ben Tameifuna
Halani Aulika
Taione Vea
Sona Taumalolo
Ma'a Vaipulu
Amanaki Mafi

These Players have been replaced by:
Sione Lea
Paea Fa'anunu
Siua Halanukonuka
Hemani Paea

Tonga have finally clinched this one, was back and forth with not a lot happening till the last 20 when Tonga finally scored a couple of tries, 18-9 for Tonga with about five minutes to go.

Final score 23-9 happy with the performance because it was our first hit out against an inspired Georgia. Still work to be done but happy with result.

Tongan bench made a big impact really turned the screw late, Moa impressed in the final quarter. Georgia were very physical but their attack as usual lacked any flair.
