[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 2: Wales vs England (11/02/2017)

Hughes being dominated isn't simply down to a lack of other carriers taking the Welsh defence's attention.

Clifford today. IMO (English fans can say otherwise) one of the worst selections Eddie Jones has made so far as Eng coach.

What?

In what regard?

This looks more like a Stuart Lancaster England, a lot of misfiring talent that isn't playing with a lot of cohesion.

Also, we are seeing that folk might have been going a little OTT about a "poor" Wales beating Argentina and South Africa and losing to the third best team in the world. Still, I have to say I'm surprised at how competitive this, the Welsh strength in the forwards and the speed of ball they are getting to play with.

And yet still a better tackler than the likes of Cips, however much he's improved.

More to the point though, anyone picking out Ford for criticism is showing their confirmation bias, rather than commenting on Ford. Not that he's playing well (he isn't), just that he's probably not in the 5 worst players in an England shirt today, quite possibly not in the 10 worst.

He's been anonymous. I would say Wales have had their lions share of possession having free reign on the floor. Plenty of time for England to come back now though.

What does that have to do with Clifford?

He's an 8 primarily - definitely not a groundhog.

Still the biggest issue for England has been the lack of carriers in the forwards without the Vunipolae.
