I'm interested in hearing (well, reading..) what you guys have to say.
What's your one, single favorite international match of all-time ?
Doesn't necessarily have to be a match of tremendous importance, just, for whatever reason your favorite int'l game.

Thanks for reading ! (well, hearing..)

England Vs New Zealand 2002.

You had Jonah Lomu coming back from his kidney woes and still scoring tries against England, Ben Cohen's tackle on Ben Blair. Ben Kays Line out steal. Tries all over the place. At the end of that match I had (have) massive respect for the All Blacks who just would not lie down and I was over the moon that we'd won. That whole autumn series, facing the big three one after another and winning the lot. It was time to believe we could win a world cup. I'm so proud of that England squad.

amazing you should say that. I just watched that an hour ago which somehow made me think of this thread (thinking someone might maybe mention this).
England were good that match, but not as strong as I thought. NZ got a bit unlucky that match and conceded the silliest try (the third, by Cohen) and still managed to come all the way back, I believe the score is 31-14 England at a point.

And it's such a suffocating feeling to watch Blair get tackled by Cohen. Howlett makes a huuuuge run, and Blair is at full speed on his left, passes it to him, he makes a huge run and you see the English defense just closing on him. He could not avoid Big Ben Bohen on a side step going right because two other English defenders were within the vicinity.
And then NZ actually have the ball stolen by England on their own lineout close to the English goal with like 1m30 to go.....

Quite a few 3N matches have been immensely enjoyable to me. Wales v England 2008 was excellent.
I'd say possibly Wales v Scotland 2010 purely because I can say I was there.

When Italy beat France in the 6N.

awww that's just low man !

Well, since we're doing this: every time (for there are many) England choked to win the last game of the 6N during the very last weekend for a potential Grand Slam :p
Wales England 2013 clearly included...the 30-3 score was quite spicy.

I'm guessing most England fans would say the 2003 RWC Final obviously, right ?

I'd say 1999 RWC France NZ in Twickenham, but then again it's not as meaningful in hindsight considering we got thrashed in the Final..but it is clearly the biggest upset in Rugby history, and it may be my favorite match of all-time just because it's true magic. It's impossible, really, what happened...

I'd have to agree on the France v NZ game, watched it in a random bar in Banbury, whilst helping a friend move house.
The wembley game with gibbs last minute try (Wales v England) was great, as was the 10 minutes of insanity in the Wales v Scotland game a few years back.
Favourite game for me though, has to be a (ugh! I have to say it!) RL game. Wales v Australia (after all the stars had come back to union because they could now be payed).
Dont even remember how many years ago it was, probably 5+, but Australia were such massive favourites, I don't even know why I watched it.

Every time Wales got the ball, we scored. It was insane, was try, followed by drop goal, followed by try, followed by drop goals from all over the pitch. Eventually, Australia won, but was the craziest game I've ever seen.

PLACE; Sydney, Australia
VENUE: Homebush (now ANZ Stadium)
MATCH: Australia v New Zealand,
CROWD: 109,874 (a world record for a rugby match that still stands)

This was arguably the greatest test match ever played. NZ scored three converted tries in the first five minutes and led 24-0 after 7 minutes. They got their fifth, and winning try in the 4th minute of injury time.

Samoa vs South Africa 2007. Samoa really took it too them physically but were no match for South Africa, really any Samoa vs South Africa match is a cracker.

England vs France RWC 2007 semi-final. It was the first rugby match which I saw. Watched in the university's library with another groupmate while "preparing" for presenting some presentation for English class. And since then I have not missed any bigger international match.

same here, well almost. The time when my dad still watched Rugby and I just watched with him to please him. I prefer the match prior to this one though :p

The first ever match I saw must've been some 6N game around 2000/01/02 from France...again, my dad watching TV and me just hanging around there..barely understanding or appreciating a thing !
