Exeter looking at Will Butt
He's certainly going to be a good signing for someone, and probably suits Baxter's style well.
Id love to keep him, but he's too good to be 4th./5th choice anywhere (I'd rather sacrifice Hennessey or even Redpath - but that's where contract timings comes to the fore)

FdK in talks with Newcastle and Sale
I love Faf but not sure I'd take him back - 35 at the start of next season and will have a considerable wage bill

I think he would be perfect for Newcastle though, they need experienced halfbacks and Redbull would love him as a character/the eyes he'd bring

Quirke in talks with Gloucester (Telegraph brewing Robson prob shows how much poop Fissler throws)
I could see why Raffi would want to leave to try and nail down a starting shirt/get a fresh start after all the injuries - not like we've not been giving him opportunities, though, and considering how much time we've put into his rehab etc. it'd smart a bit seeing him go

Surely he wouldn't be willing to give up on England yet though?
Get fit, and he's still in the conversation as it is.

That would be a good experiment tbf

England consistently picking Raffi regardless of fitness/form vs Gloucester being invisible in the eyes of the RFU

Turns out he's still in contract anyway, obviously doesn't as much these days as it once did, but I doubt Gloucester are buying him out of a contract considering the reports about their finances recently

The Gloucester invisibility piece has had some truth to it over the years but Seb Atkinson and Arthur Clark are doing their bit to change that. Will Joseph probably will as well.

Furbank to Quins apparently a done deal
Saints wanted short term with clauses and Quins offered a straight 3 year deal

Guess Saints and Tigers have had similar thoughts with their George in terms of making sure they are not committed to long term deal that will leave them potentially out of value massively

I’d be gutted if he left but then we have back three players coming out of everywhere at the moment so can see the club not wanting to commit.

A real shame though.
