England v Fiji - 8/11/2025

Having watched both England and NZ games i think England go in slight favourites for next week.

In both games England have excelled and really upped tempo in the last 20, NZ seem to go through large periods being passive.

If Englands set peice is solid, i think they win by 5-9

Pollock signing stuff for the kids. ******* loser.

Its interesting how obsessed the media is with him, huge potential and has a quality skill set, butni get the feeling hes being set up to fail a bit.

Someone called him the Caitlin Clarke of Rugby union lol.

Consrant shots of him sat on the bench, andnconstant references to him during games, hes already unlikable enough lol

The media will tear him down just as quickly if he doesn’t press on and become a world beater

I agree that CCS should have been MOM this week. I think he should have stayed on longer.
Nice to see Lawrence back, he played very well.
As for Marcus, I thought he had a decent game and certainly took his share of punishment !
Not sure how next weekend is going to go. NZ definitely aren’t anywhere near their best, but they always have that ability.

Totally different scores to what I would have given

That was a fantastic test match! The last thing England needed before the All Blacks was a training run, and Fiji were never going to offer that. If Fiji can get their administration and structure behind the scenes sorted they have the potential to become frighteningly good!! Yesterday was clear to see that the formation of the Fijian Drua has led to a strengthening of the test team.
We needed a team to test us, and that is exactly what Fiji did….I cannot wait until Saturday when New Zealand come calling!!!

Havwent seen any rugby this weekend.

Where did CCS stand out..just his alround game..or some specific areas? Did he do much lineout work?
Well he smashed everything that moved for starters. It was reminiscent of Lawes back in the day. For me he just seemed to be everywhere. His carries were strong and impactful, his D great, and he just has presence. I haven’t seen actual stats but you gotta feel like he’s played himself into a starting spot this week.

Well thats great to hear...especially with the Tom Willis situation. The added bonus of CCS is can be an additional lineout option...which means along with Pepper, gives you potentially 4 options which is an added bonus.

I WAY prefer a big unit at 8, but Ben Earl deserves a special mention as hes been great standing in at 8 when really its not his position. It also gives you good flexibility for the opposition ie if you want to start the bigger unit and bring on Earl when its starting to open up...or vice versa start Earl and bring on CCS if you want to close things off.

He took quite a lot of lineout ball from memory and looked sharpe. He needs to keep his starting spot to let him bed in but then we have so many good back rows but none that offer the CCS threat in my opinion.
