Scheffler will win his fourball, did it last time after the 9&7.

If Europe can rob something out of match 4 it'd be huge.

Bradley got it all wrong, weird guy, out of his depth. Home advantage is so big so it's far from over but Europe have the better management by a mile.

The strange thing is the European have managed this for decades now. Why do the American's get it so badly wrong? Its like us picking Faldo over and over again.

Euro lads have all played soccer / rugby / gaelic football growing up. Sports where individuals are never bigger than the team.

American golfers are either pure golfers or Basketballers / Baseball players, both team sports but not as collective as the above usually with a star player or two that the team are centred around. They're individualistic and just don't know how to build a culture imo.

Also, Bradley has played in two losing Ryder cup teams, was a pity selection after he was shafted out of the team last time. If you haven't played 3 or more and won at least once you aren't qualified imo.

Success builds success too and the US have three of these in this millennium, they need to change things at an organisational and committee level.

This is just not over though.

Didn't realise Bethpage is a public course. Allegedly a weekend round for non-locals is about 160 bucks, locals 80. Seems a bargain.

Also they've cut the rough shorter to assist the US long drivers
Bethpage is true soul of American golf.

Dems need to run on the MAGAGA platform next year cause this is embarrassing.

Do you play over there? What's the culture like if so?

Playing Harding Park x2 and Spyglass (can't afford to stay on site and play Pebble, will try get it transferred the day before) in November and dropping ~ €1200. Worth it to play a major venue and the third best course on one of the best golf destinations on earth when I will likely never have another chance to. But it's crazy money.

In comparison I'm in Donegal this week, playing the three Rosapenna courses, one is 37th in the world (not the top rated but my favourite course I've ever played) for €250. I also pay €1300 for membership at a top 100 Irish course.

There's courses in Ireland for €400 - €650 but it's to cater to Americans and lots offer cheaper Irish rates. It just seems like bragging rights to how much you can pay to play over there rather than being genuine lovers of the game.

I haven’t played blackpage but I’ve played the big munis in a couple cities and they are just fun. My dad has played some of the big ones on business trips and they are the equivalent of VIP tickets for concerts or sport. Just a way for sellers to entertain buyers. The courses for true golfers are usually between $50 and $200 depending on the area’s cost of living.

all inclusive at my local muni is $1400 so it’s a very middle class club whereas the local private one you either need to own your own massively successful business or have it as part of your compensation at work.

Huge first day. Rahm, Tommy and Rory just had an all timer of a day. Fitz showing up after a shocking cup record was huge too.

Would love to **** on Bryson but he was the US's best player who played two rounds today, just ran into better twice.

Not always easy to see who's turning up and who isn't in a Ryder Cup but the below site is great for it. Also shows that the tables can turn here quickly, more Americans in the top half of performers than Europeans.

Statistically English & Morikawa are the worst possible foursomes pairing possible at Bethpage across both teams and Bradley is running it back. If Henley takes the first tee shot again when the course is completely set up for the longer ball to do that, you'd have to turn against him as an American fan.

Unprepared and stubborn.

The Americans demonstrated yet again today what a classless, horrible, boorish and petulant bunch they are - that’s the fans and certain players. In a way they elected the perfect president - he’s got the same personality traits as these absolute goons that sadly made themselves heard today.
