QF4: England vs Scotland, Sunday, 4.00pm, BBC1

Im a few minutes behind, but Aurelie just missed Scotland hurdling a tackler, then a knock on my Breach (who was set to chase a kick, not received a pass).

Presumably that's the KO Al mentions above
No, final pass of third try, passer clearly behind five metre line only took one step so not moving forward receiver clearly a metre past five metre line.

Same I think I have to and tried to find it but nothing really clicks in my mind, like as you say if the catcher is nearest the try line what's the problem then not beyond and being obstructed by the lifters is usually the issue and the term ripper I'll be honest until recently I've never heard it used in this context.
From memory, it was during England's tour this summer (IIRC I was given the explanation elsewhere,ap and reposted it here) - but when the catcher moved the ball back over the back of the first man in.
IIRC that made it a pass, rather than handoff, so either no chance to intercept, or making everyone offside - but A] that's my dodgy memory, and B] not what happened today

This is going well. Aitchison’s looking really good with her control and goal kicking as well as her customary running of the back line. Galligan’s being a real nuisance at the line out too.

Yup, see here: https://www.therugbyforum.com/threads/usa-v-england-19-07-25.50327/page-21#post-1243900

And yes, was ball over the back

It also feels like something that must have been going on for ages but is only getting pinged recently.

Scrum yellow cards just shouldn’t be a thing, if your physically inferior and unable to scrimmage against a few opponents that IMO doesn’t warrant a card.

Did Clifford fail her HIA or was it just a decision to leave Carson on? If she failed it we really need Botts back next week.

It's like the one in the last round, (sorry, can't remember the teams) where a scrum resulted in a penalty try, but no yellow card because the ref didn't know who had committed what offence - which means it isn't a penalty, let alone a penalty try.

The fitness and physicality of both England front rows has been the big difference in every game England have played so far. Big girls but very fit and dynamic

Well, a fair result not too unhappy with that

Scotland, I believe, have had their best scoreline this century against England.

They achieved their objective, quarter finals, whilst having all the unsettled shenanigans pre tournament.

They've managed to move up two places in the world rankings.

Well done, ladies.
