A Political Thread pt. 2

Of course there is angst amongst the public. But they are blaming the judiciary or Trump. The one branch of government to blame is congress. Congress flat-out does not work. It is a theatre for thespians to shout, whine, and gnash their teeth. And then do absolutely nothing. It's a broken branch and I do not know how to fix it.
It maybe so, but strumpet is bypassing both houses at almost every turn.

The only thing they seem to be able to control is govt funding.

The senate recently ignored the $3.8 trillion debt in current tax breaks and authorised another $5 trillion to be added to the deficit.

How to make $3.8 trillion disappear in the federal budget

All this whilst mush is touting billions in clawbacks.

Interestingly not one announcement of either indictment or even investigations into those claims of billions of fraud.

Even now Congress is baulking at $5 trillion in new spending with only $4 billion in spending cuts.

Budget fight tests the limits of Trump loyalty in Congress

Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable. Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 Countries have called Representatives of the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR, to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non Monetary Tariffs, and that these Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States, I have authorized a 90 day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Here we go again, he's going ape on China.

But has backed down everywhere else.

I wonder if EU retaliation might have something to do with that.

GO big on China and cut deals with the rest of the world. Dude has the pulse of the electorate like nobody in my lifetime.
Bothers me not, the rest of the world will now get reduced goods from China.

US lose.

What America fails to recognise is that many other countries don't import their goods is because they don't want them.

A good example is cars.

we export a lot of the things we are good at producing (agricultural products) and none of the stuff we aren't (in reality it's other countries can do it cheaper). Every country does this and its been a known phenomenon since 1817.

IDK why all of a sudden we think we are going to be exporting semi-conductors and clothes when we just don't have the infrastructure to do so.

It does highlight an arrogance on the part of some Americans. They literally cannot fathom that some people simply don't want what they are producing and there is nothing underhanded behind it.

Imagine trying to go toe-to-toe with a greater foe when your society is trailing ITALY in productivity gains. I knew the UK was in trouble, but the recent data shows it's a complete basketcase.

No wonder the premiership is about to collapse.

That chart makes no sense whatsoever, it shows a large dip due to COVID for every country but the US.

The US GDP in the Q2 2030 was down 11.3%, unemployment rose from less than 4% to 14+%, under trump and Biden Congress passed the CARES and ARP totalling $4.1 trillion.

Now of that is reflected here.

The funny thing is, is that strumpet has handed China the moral high ground.

Since taking power he has put 20%+34%+50% = 104% tariffs on china (before today)

China has responded with 34%+50% = 84%

It's his war, he has to own it personally.
