A Political Thread pt. 2

BBC talking that the counting of the absentee ballots could take up to Friday... There must be a lot of postal votes.

Raab acting like an arse on BBC. Won't comment on Trump's word as claims it's media commentary on the election.

Dominic Raab seems to think that Donald Trump is a media commentator, and that the BBC are actively campaigning for Biden by asking him to comment on Trump's speech

Asking for the supreme court to stop counting....fuuuuu

Luckily I do think the majority of the supreme court aren't that corrupt and it's unlikely to work.

Ohio is Red. Normally this state is the one that signals the election result.
Whilst it's true it predicted every election result for some time the Democrat result except in the Obama blowouts has traditionally been quite soft (you have to go back to Lyndon B. Johnson to find one who got over 50% of the vote). There's a reason pundits aren't putting too much heed into this time around it was always lost (along with Florida) in a tight election. Ohio and Florida turning blue would of been indicators of a thumping Biden win.

NyTimes still think Georgia will vote Biden (they sent Atlanta counters home apparently).

Another noob US politics question:

Electoral college: do they split their votes based on the vote share of their state, or does the winner just get the whole lot?
i.e. WI is currently 49.4 vs 49.1%, with 10 votes. Is that 5 a piece? 6 vs 4? Or do all 10 go to the winner?

Winner gets it all
.

Except Maine and Nebraska, which go by region
