Better Games, Better Controller and from what Ive heard seems to have a bit more grunt under the hood then the 360.

Are the rumours Ive heard true that neither the X-Box 360 and the PS3 both wont come with Harddrives straight out of the box?

Well, I don't know. Nulled at this point.

I would like an Xbox 360, will have to wait for prices. I would love to have Xbox Live on that thing.

PS3's a definite though.

..my brother luvs his xbox so I KNOW HES LOOKING FORWARD TO THATS...hes a dork anyway chose n64 over ps1..lol

n64 was the next best thing to online play...shore u cud play 4player on ps1 just an extra $200 for muti-tap and controllers...
n64 won the mutiplayer battle on console,ps1 won the variety and decent games..all these new consoles boast everything

im def gettin ps3...just coz gameplay alone..better games will proberly surface on the ps3..who knows

I don't I will be getting any of the consoles as I have a pc but revolution could be good with complete back catologue of nintendo games. The ps 3 and xbox 360 have both been overrated I think but both should be good and I think whatever console as the most exclusive games that you play is the one to get.

I'll stick with a monster PC, because I still think it's unrivalled as a games machine, despite the protestations of console gamers.

For me, one year ago was playstation 2 and 32 inch with rca....

Now its Playstation2 w/ HD and internet connection and projector and component...


It's called evolution...progress........ignorance (sorry, that last one is all yours)

Anyway, I'll be getting a PS3 - the controller rules all decisions once machines reach this level of power and the inside word says PS3 all the way anyway.....so it's a fanboy call (which SFW SFW will claim), but it also moreso a no-brainer....SFW SFW can relate to that.

The key is to organise your set=up to accomodate multimedia and thus your new arrival of an updated - pc kicking their ass console - .....

Unfortunately SFW SFW has not done this, and will have to wrestle with the pangs of martyrdom and shrouding his pc funeral pyre in the complaints of better days when the 80s were king and Real Genius was the best film at the box office......

it's alright dude....

we'll pretend that adventure games have HEAPs of different , like, um, sub categories that have, um, their own, like, sub-sub-under-over-inbetween categories....etc etc

That way, when you contemplate talking utter shite (as you often do), you can just zip it and relax in the false knowledge that what you say actually makes a **** difference to the fact that you split screen between kiddie porn and fps on your 21 inch screen, in your fold-back 'awesome' chair, living the life only pc kingpins can dream of.....man! It's like the mafia or something......Scorcese eat your heart out.

This argument was already over.....but thanks to next gen....I think you pcers should just hide away and assume your rightful position on the junk heap of lonely hearts and dudes who REALLY, REALLY love their 21 inch 'awesome' resolution....

Xbox 360 and Nintendo Revolution for me.

PGR3, Halo 3, Fable 2, PES5 on LIVE etc on the 360 and the entire Nintendo published back catalogue up until the N64 available on Revolution.

I love the way you seem offended by someone having an opinion different to yours. Is there a model of you somewhere with the sun orbiting your huge ego?

It's also quite amusing how you think the PC only runs FPSs, and nothing else. Feel free to believe whatever you like, I won't lose any sleep over it.

I'll just continue to play Pro Evo 4 over the internet, with the resolution cranked right up using my PS2 pad and adaptor.

I'll wait for Sony and Microsoft to duke it out for a bit before making my decision. There's no point in early adoption these days as 1st gen ***les are rushed out to get the machines of the shelves. Whichever one I get it will be backed up by Nintendo's new one as an alternative 2nd console, esp' if its as backwards compatible as they are saying. Im not to impressed with the styling of any of them to be honest and that ps3 joypad is far too close to those crappy silver MS Sidewinders for comfort...
Technically, there's not a lot of difference between the machines (despite what the hypemongers would want you to believe)

I haven't really thought about the Nintendo one because their games have never grabbed me, and their is far too much risk that Rugby games and GTA's won't come out on it, so...

XBox 360
For:
Their new controllers look like they will be better the PS3's.
I don't have an XBox so if it is backward compatable I can buy XBox games.
Halo, but I'm not sure how bigger a for this is.
Comes out earlier, when I'll still have savings to spend
Against:
Less power.
Risk of RL series not coming out on it, or possibly delayed versions.

PS3

More power
Got a PS2 so will be able to play all those games on it (I think)
GTA series

Big wait, I could be a poor uni student by the time it rolls out

yeah ill keep doing what i am doing for a while, see how things progress with the xbox360 and ps3. if there are decent games comign out that won't play on my pc, or are specific to the consoles, i might get them depending on if i like the game and there is no chance of it to come out on pc (unlike gta)
