Tomorrow (April 14th) will be the last official date you can play any Xbox 1 games online. If you want to grab any DLC for your old games, NOW is the time to do it, as by the end of the week it'll be irretrievable.
Personally, i'm saddened by this news. It's the end of an era. It also leaves me a bit worried about all the stuff i've purchased via Xbox Live once the next Xbox comes along. I'd hate to think it'll dissapear just like the Xbox 1 stuff is going to now.
I plan on playing some Halo 2 online tomorrow, make sure the service gets the proper recognition it deserves. After all, without Xbox Live, console online gaming wouldn't have took off the way it has (read: Dreamcast).
(Xbox 1 games will continue to work offline just fine and Xbox 360 games won't be affected by any of this. It's just the Live servers for Xbox 1 that are being shut off.)
