Considering France's record against New Zealand during World Cups (or for that matter in recent times), I'm very surprised to see a Kiwi wanting anything to do with them!

In my mind, they are the biggest threat to NZs success. What went on it the AIs is non-consequential to the upcoming year.

Can't see France be anything but a training opponent in the pool phase. They should take the score by +20 and, talking about NH, England could be a much more dangerous opposition.

ANd argentina are actually 1st seed technically because the draws were based on world rankings from 2008 and they were 4th after the amazing world cup they had.

There's no denying that if Ireland beat Australia (and Italy... let's not be too quick to forget our very near call in the 6 nations) then we have set ourselves up for an easier run-in to the final than we would otherwise have... however that's a big if. And even if we do have that run into the final; there's absolutely no guarantee we'll beat Wales, Samoa or Fiji (whoever comes 2nd in that group) and it's pretty likely we'd lose to England or France in the Semis if we make it that far...

I do think they might beat the Wallibies because I think they could choke early on but recover but I think France will beat Ireland and lose the Final to the All Blacks or Australia.

Yeah I agree with this completely. Surprising that an Irish person said it after a certain Georgia match in 07 and that France were one of the teams he mentioned, England Ireland matches can easily go either way but Ireland seem to have some sort of mental block against the French.

Australia thrashed France and the Australian backs are looking mighty good atm. it would be great to have Ireland's first victory over the All Blacks in a final of the world cup though the wait would have been more than worth it!

all 3 top SH teams have a great chance. france are as always unpredictable but they normally cause an upset. england are good but i cant see them getting past the semis (if they even get that far...... but of course ill support them all the way

this whole thing about NZ being invincible.... how many times are we going to hear this? lol they put 49 past Australia in the 2010 Bledisloe cup.... but they also leaked 29. pressures on them and until they win it and look to defend it i'll never accept they're best in the world. just my opinion
