At 43 I'm late to the rugby scene. Also enjoyed watching National team but mainly been into football and American football.
Now my son (age 5) has started playing I want to encourage him so have started watching Premiership Rugby but feel I need a team, but can't decide who. Ideally want a team that's close enough to be able to take family to a few games. I've sort of narrowed it down to Saints, Tigers or Wasps but am open to ideas/suggestions and would love to hear reasoned arguments for most teams.
I'm based in Cambridge.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Newcastle Falcons. Only logical choice. A top side, mixes with the best of them, not too far from you, great academy too if the son gets good ;)

Tigers
We take the best of the Falcons academy and we have a great history.

Wasps are a franchise now and Saints are from Northampton(ewwww).

Support both Cheetahs and Sinners and enjoy the bemused look on their fans' faces when you tell them this.

Cambridge themselves aren't a bad side to watch from what I hear if you want to catch a lower level game.

As a NFL fan, the franchise thing is something I'm use to. Locally I watch Ely.

Aha, but that route is drying up now.... We gave you Mr Mcguigan. Won't be living on the falcons conveyor belt any more :D

This. They won National 2 South last season and are now playing in National 1.

As for AP teams, quite a few Cambridge players have ended up with Northampton and a few ex-Northampton players have ended up at Cambridge, so Northampton would be the obvious answer for me.
